"I am 5 foot 9 and weigh 178 pounds. I row for a
Novice team. As you can tell I am too short to ever be a successful heavy

The truth is (less food)+(more training)= weight lost. Its a sad fact of life but
that's the only way you're going to lose weight. It doesn't matter what sort of exercise you do just as long as you expend
energy; just as it doesn't matter how 'low fat' your diet is, just as
long as your energy intake is less.
DO NOT, under any circumstances start
drastically cutting your food intake. In fact, pay particular attention
to getting enough food in your system to feel strong during your
workouts and emough to let you concentrate on your school work! Do an extra cardio workout each day.
